A good place to begin

A car, the bus, or Norway's NSB train can deliver you to a number of easily accessed locations, all of which make good starting points for your hike. Remember to tell your train conductor or bus driver where you want to get off, otherwise the train or bus might not stop.

Junkerdal, Junkerdal Fjellsenter - bus or car. Graddis, Skaiti -car.
Lønsdal train station, at app. 580 m.a.sl., is within walking distance of Lønsstua cabin, from which you can hike either east or west.

Sulitjelma, Balvassdemningen, Tjorvihytta cabin - car (or bus as far as Sulitjelma only).

Kystriksveien (RV17) south of Saltstraumen - bus or car.

Beiarn, upper Tollådal, Tverrånes, Trollberget, Beiarfjellet - car.
